CVD, could you say a few words more about #TestWorldKnight?

  1. What will be the fundamental and general difference between the test server and the regular server? I'm asking what you plan to change in Knight Fight.

  2. Will you open a new Knight Fight server after the test server ends, similar to what you did after the MG test server ended?

Hey, sure — a bit more context on #TestWorldKnightFight here:
The main purpose is testing the migration of KnightFight's infrastructure from Hetzner to AWS, basically the same process we already went through with MonstersGame. So it's less about changing KnightFight's mechanics and more about making sure the new hosting setup holds up under real player load.
The test world will run for a short period too, a few weeks, same as the MG test world did. We might also add some moonID medals as a little reward for participating. Whether a new permanent world follows afterward the way it did for MG isn't decided yet. Infos will follow soon.

Thank you for your reply. I think this clarified a lot for us.

Besides the technical aspects – server infrastructure – are you planning any changes to the game mechanics? For the past 2 years, the KnightFight community has been raising 2 key issues:

  1. Imbalance between 1h and 2h (unjustified 2h advantage over 1h).
  2. Classic server (without access to Battleserver, just like before 2012).

The most important is to resolve problem of imbalance. We Maybe we should use a test server to see if your new solution (if you've developed one) works?
