I would definitely play on a new special server without BS. I spent some time on the BS on INT7. I know how to find unequipped zombies, and I completed a full session that way. I earned a lot of gold, but there was nothing enjoyable about it. The game turns into mindless clicking. If anything, I would turn it into an arena where players from different servers could fight each other. All the best! ;) |

Do you know why CRATR should open a classic server? Because it's the only one thing that JDA and Apulus agree on!!! :D :D :D That's a very serious argument :D I think it's an interesting initiative, or rather an experiment. Maybe it'll work, maybe not. There will definitely be much more activity on the home server. I also understand the fatigue of the most active players who spend all day fighting boring zombies on INT 6 and INT 7. Besides, the classic server won't be a major revolution, but a return to the very beginning of KnightFight's history. |

I'm sure a server without BS is a great idea, but to improve the game experience, it would be nice to have another option to block the exchange of MoonCoins for gold :) |

That’s an interesting idea. I think it could attract quite a few former players who aren't fans of BS. I’d love to test my skills in an arena like that. It would be essential to disable the exchange of Coins for gold on such a server. |

In any case, it is good to try. After a year, for example, things can then be evaluated and if it turns out that it had been a terribly stupid idea in the end, that world can still be closed, but at least we know that. But maybe it would have been brilliant and that world would come alive completely... But if you want to start a world WITHOUT the battlefield, then you should also play without premium items in that world. I really hate that stuff, because I want to play WITHOUT that, but then you're always a few steps behind the rest. Moreover, everything without premium items will be played much more tactically I think. Now every premium player (about 95% of all players in my opinion) actually has the same equipment: premium sword, shield and armor, premium amulet and premium rings. If this is no longer possible, then you will think much more tactically, about what kind of equipment and stuff should be bought because you want to protect yourself optimally/go on the attack. |

Why is Nimoe defending BG so much? :D You like it? play it on any of the 60+ servers available :) How will it be funded? I get bored by clicking 400 fights in 4 days on BG more than doing 20 fights a day on our home server. MONOTONY - that's what's killing the game. I would create another account if there was a server without BG. I'll for sure not play on any other new servers with BG. People who remember the game when there was no BG understand what it was. I have to admit that time there were thousands of players on each server. The idea of BG was to let people fight between players from other servers and give a little experience boost to high level players and easier start for new players to catch up with the rest. Now 140 lvl in 1 year from the start of the server? :D hahaha... that's years of playing old style. Like I said... if you like the rat race... join any of the 60+ servers available with BG. |

We made loads of suggestions on discord on how to attempt to adjust the BG - from minor tweaks to complete overhauls to removal. We got zero feedback - given we've not seen the battlesystem update that would have completely changed the game I have almost no hope that there's going to be any innovation on KF. (not this year - and prob not next either) MG 2.0 development has been going on for even longer than KF Bsystem - and that's still not done with yet another "final world" being deployed. while each of the legacy worlds have a few active players dotted around only I think anything that's done is "lipstick on a pig" I personally think that the BG should be used to "some-how" put all the active players in one place so we can use it to compare ourselves with all knights across all worlds (thus saving the need to consolidate home worlds initially). Killing zombies is dull - bragging rights on who's got the best knght backed up by battle reports that's much more appealing! |

A server without the "Battlegrounds" option? |

I truly believe that launching a new server without the BS feature would attract a massive crowd—not only current active players but also inactive ones who still follow the game, plus newcomers. Since all existing servers have BS, introducing a single, traditional server without it would be an awesome update to boost player activity. I really hope the team considers this idea! |

The discussion has taken an interesting turn, and I can see that a lot of people are enthusiastic about starting a server without Battleground and without Premium. I think many of those commenting either don't have or have never had level 150–250 character (or even a level 100) that they leveled on their own. At level 150-250, gaining a single level can take 2–3 months without Battleground or Premium. I wonder whether this initial enthusiasm would last in the long run. |

Well Spoken Nocny! I never buy premium stuff, because the gear is way to expensive in my opinion (pleae don't tell me things like 'well it depends on' or 'it's not that bad because...') |

I think that if the Battle Server is removed, the XP penalty for fighting lower-level players should be removed as well. Otherwise, there won't be much left to do once you've reached the top. You'd probably only have about five fights a day, and besides that, just missions and the tavern. People also wouldn't go to war anymore, because without the Battle Server they wouldn't be able to make up for the XP losses. They also wouldn't hunt goldies anymore for the same reason. It would become very boring... |

Every server has its pros and cons. It's true that some players might find Classic boring. But remember, current servers based on BS get boring just as quickly. Fighting zombies on BS is incredibly boring. On the last two servers, which opened in quick succession, activity dropped significantly after three months. There's no best solution here, only the optimal one. If there's a big group of players who want a KnightFight like the one created 20 years ago, I think CRATR should seriously consider it. If CRATR do it, I'll create an account on the Classic server and give it a try. |

I think a server without BS would be a return to the roots. We had a blast on a server like that on PL 11 recently. |

I personally think that any world that opens is going to hit that "dull" loop very quickly if there's not a large player pool available. worlds died because Tavern -> bank -> fight -> missions x4 -> fight -> missions x2 -> bank -> tavern -> bank loop is dull as dishwater. whether it's people trying to claw their way to the top - or beat another knight or have a guild war - or a server war etc that's what keeps people engaged. We have to get a consolidation of active players - and we have to get new blood in who stay too. |

@p_b I agree with you there—too many game worlds in quick succession, all following the same formula, cause worlds to die out fast because routines eventually become boring. Server wars are interesting, and naturally even more tempting with rewards involved. The "Battlefield" option boosts levels quickly, depending on how often you play. This creates level disparities, since not everyone plays non-stop. The battle server really highlights player activity levels. The same thing can happen on a server without a battlefield—maybe not as drastically regarding levels as with the BS, but perhaps in terms of skills if there’s an option to buy boosts with MoonCoins. Then it’s no longer about level, but skill gaps; that’s exactly why, in the long run, you lose interest in facing accounts that have been artificially boosted. If a system like this is going to work, there shouldn't be any of that stuff at all.
Everyone has to build their character the same way—no special advantages. But offering a special weapon—scaled to your level—as a reward for a server war? That would be awesome. Everyone would jump at the chance like vultures just to get that weapon. It would be a real incentive, a highlight for a group of "unspoiled" players. |

On the battlefield, you can also compete against real players—you simply have to select them.
However, the likelihood of them being "unequipped " is extremely low, which is why most player prefer the zombies.
