Hi

Questions mainly for admins and developers, but other players should also comment.

What is the future of Cratr.games , portal and games in the next year? What will be implemented 100% in that time, and what is in the distant future? What are your plans for further development? You made many promises, ideas, what are you working on, but nothing came of it.

What obstacles and problems do you have that cause it to be like this? How big is your team of programmers? Are you working with anyone else on creating KF, MG, etc.

ps. dont spam, please serious questions and answers.

Regards

Thanks for your thoughtful message and your patience — we truly appreciate the passion from longtime players like you.

We hear you. We’ve had big ambitions, and while some ideas have taken longer than expected, we haven’t stopped working. A more detailed post outlining our upcoming goals for KnightFight, MonstersGame, and the CRATR.games portal is coming very soon.

What we can already share:
– Yes, we’re a small team — focused but dedicated.
– We’ve been restructuring parts of our backend to support future features.
– We’re working with new partners to accelerate progress.
– And yes, we are fully committed to bringing new content, updates, and fixes.

Thanks again for keeping the fire alive — more very soon! 🔥🛡️

I'm in agreement a roadmap for the products would be a good idea - even if that's a "rule tweak in Q4 2025, no new content until at least Q3 '26 etc"

I work in software, our roadmaps are supplied with caveats "subject to change" for the next 2 to 3 years for all our products, so clients have an understanding of what to expect; they can see where the focus is, and which part is getting some love etc.

This game has stagnated, there are still some folks with deep pockets paying for, I think, the majority of the rest of us to keep playing.

I used to buy the €20 package each year as my contribution to server upkeep; but when the BG appeared and it became a "do the most battlesession to get to the top" what little skill we did need ceased to be a thing.
Add in the no new content, no adjustements and I can't justify "rewarding" paying for this situation.

if the game was shut down as a result of my behaviour, I'd be sad after all this time, but I'd get it... I'm never going to join a new world and start over while the game remains "as is"

My fear is that this long term stagantion of the old games is loosing the goodwill of the community base.
So my suggestion would be to provide some positive news/info ASAP and not a "coming soon TM" fashion.

Thanks a lot for your honest and constructive feedback — we really appreciate the time and care you put into your message.

You’re absolutely right: a clearer picture of what’s ahead would be helpful for everyone. While we haven’t published a public roadmap yet, we do have an internal one that we’re working to share parts of in a meaningful way.

A post outlining the next concrete goals is coming very soon.

Thanks again for your long-term support and passion for the game — it truly matters.

Hi

@cvd

You write that you are doing something and acting, but you are speaking too generally again. Players need specifics (what, where, how and when) and not successive hopes that things will be better.

There are many ideas on the forum that players have proposed (including me). Are any of these ideas at the implementation stage?

The simplest ideas like 'adding a button "heal 10HP" 'instead of using a drop-down list probably don't require months of work?

Minor and easy-to-implement changes can be introduced on an ongoing basis.

edit: Maybe you need to change your business model? - Only deal with the source code of the game, and hand over the entire technical and hardware infrastructure to external entities. You will eliminate the costs associated with maintaining servers and there will be more game worlds.

Thanks for your thoughtful message and for staying so engaged with the community — that kind of input helps us more than you know.

You’re absolutely right: communication needs to be more concrete, and we’re actively working on that. We’ll be sharing a more specific update shortly that includes upcoming changes and priorities .

Some smaller player-suggested improvements (like the “Heal 10 HP” button you mentioned) are indeed being considered for short-term implementation. These kinds of QoL changes are valuable and easier to roll out between larger updates.

Great point — and yes, regarding the business model and infrastructure:
We’ve found one of the best solutions for our needs in terms of security, cost-efficiency, and scalability by switching to NixOS. This setup allows us to deploy and manage our environments more reliably, with minimal overhead — which in turn frees up resources for actual game development.

That doesn’t mean we’re not open to partnerships or evolving further, but we believe this step gives us a strong foundation for everything to come.

Thanks again for your input — it’s helping shape the direction forward.

Those tiny feature updates (also your desired "heal 10 HP") could be done by certain browser extensions (and I think you know this already).

But it this legal? I mean - does it violate game rules to use browser extensions to enhance my game experience?

For example me - I am used to play browser games without images. So I need extensions for disabling images or CSS - and to keep the page still working.

Hello, about the topic, I'd like to see 1 or 2 new types of games, different from KF or MG that i yet played years ago with real passion (I was premium in MG for 3 years i think).
I mean a different ambient or playing type situation.
I still love those games because they don't affect my phone memory data, or RAM in any ways.
To reply to other people, i remember games were like this (gameplay) back in 2012 too, they did some good adjustments between years passed.
About KF and MG personally I'd like to keep them as they are, imo they don't have no issues or bugs etc.
Maybe just adding a MG modality for phones visualization, because i stopped to play MG i was losing my sight on playing it.
KF in mobile mode is perfect imo.
Thanks :)

You should also look at the current payment model and give up certain elements of the game that are a limitation for players (e.g. attacking the same player after 12 hours) and which you are relying on. You can build a system of rights and privileges according to the example template ((bold font indicates new things or elements to be changed)

Premium Basic (costs 600 MC/Month)

-With Premium status, KnightFight is completely free of advertising
-Premium players can attack other players every 5 minutes instead of waiting 15 minutes
-You receive more search options for attacking opponents of a specific level and alignment
-You receive 2 hours of missions daily instead of 1 hour
-If you click on an opponent's character profile you see a list of any recent reports from previous battles with that opponent
-Premium players can change their character's name as often as they wish
-Premium players can customise their weapon name
-Premium players receive 10% more gold than normal during tavern missions
-Premium players have access to detailed war reports
-New enemy search filters (one-handed two-handed, conviction range from- to...)

Premium Silver (Premium Basic plus): (costs 1300 MC/month)

-Tavern package included
-You get a 5% discount on all items in the game (gold and mooncoin items)
-Gold win range on opponent from 5-15% instead of 5-10%
-Gold from missions increased by 10%
-You can attack the same enemy once every 8 hours instead of 12 hours

Premium Gold (Premium Silver plus): (costs 2000 MC/month)

-Daily missions 2,5h (150 minutes - 15 x 10 )
-You will receive 2 times more experience for missions (2-10 exp) and fighting enemies (2, 4 exp)
-You get a 10% discount on all items in the game (gold and mooncoin items)
-Missions shortened to 5 minutes instead of 10
-You can attack other players every 3 minutes instead of waiting 5 minutes

-You can attack the same enemy once every 6 hours instead of 12 hours

The prices of the packages themselves should also be discussed. Those who want to play will pay anyway, and those who want to be in the TOP will buy things for MC).

Also, abandon old technologies like BBCODE in player descriptions and forum writing. Add a WYSIWYG editor. I want to see in real time what I'm writing, and not refresh pages/edit errors - because something won't load.

personally i think anything that makes it even more PTW de-values the game even further.

Do you only want those at the top to be there because they've got the deepest wallets - the very fact (before the BG was added) where prem just gave you an extra hour of missions and a 5min hitting cooldown was the reason I played initially.

Not being premium = not a huge disadvantage & tactical use of the high-score screen = best way to make money from fights. (I've still got an average of 200 gold per fight which was a sign of a "good" player once upon a time.)

PS the game hasn't had ads since CATR took over from RMS - but they've not updated that part of the premmie bonuses.

Thanks a lot for your thoughtful message — and respect for that 200 gold per fight average, that’s still a mark of an excellent player! 💪💰

You’re right: the game hasn’t had ads since the switch to CRATR, and while we do miss the revenue, the cleaner, ad-free experience feels much better overall.

That said, it’s true that pay-to-win elements are part of the game’s foundation — and will likely remain so to help keep the servers running and development going. But we also hear the desire for more strategic depth and non-premium value, which is something we’re actively discussing.

And yes — we’d love to see more events too! Those are definitely something we want to increase going forward.

Thanks again for the honest input and for sticking with the game — it means a lot! ⚔️

german please:

here is a rambling stream of consciousness from me to my fellow admins of the GCBL clan:

First of all kids can learn language and math from this game.

Secondly it can be a game for kids cuz all they're doing is hitting a button. There will be different levels of virtual reality eventually depending on how old the kid is. Take a look at my globalclue.org site and you will get an idea.

Yes sending money to other players is against the rules but think about what we are doing now. We are playing the game or at least most of you are just about the gold and just about attacking the other race. So almost everybody Sentinel Banks and in one case here there's a vampire who Arena banks and almost everybody potion banks so that the other side doesn't get our gold when we get hit right? That's BS because it does not help the players. It only helps the humans.

And by the way the real humans are the ones who run CRATR and from what I've been led to believe there are only three of them and this is just part time for them and from what I've seen none of them are advanced programmers. This is one reason why the game hasn't developed in 20 years. Imagine this game happening with speech to text text to speech and instant translation. Imagine this game where you do have virtual reality and can see werewolves fighting vampires etc. Yes it's against the rules now to give gold but hopefully not in the future because if you think about it to make this game a lot more player friendly Clans should be able to support each other with gold.

The best way to do it is to have a new Clan war Arena server where we can have multiple accounts from the dead servers we can have Clan Arena Wars where we put up say a hundred thousand gold or even a million gold and work it out I have a lot of ideas how to make it happen that haven't been put on the table yet. This game really sucks and it will completely die if they don't get a freaking clue and make it more player friendly. That's why I wrote the level 390 guy on a US server that has only 50 members at all. Consider America has 300 million people and there are 50 players on the US server.

I think MG can be a useful tool in fomenting world peace through virtual war. This is just one tool that I want to use. Let's find a way to get CRATR to accept help from its players and make the game fun, player friendly and progress into the 21st Century. If we can work together I think we can really make it happen.
