Even though I read and send messages in the courier, refresh my status, go to settings, and check highscore, the activity date is still August 28th. This will only change if I go on a mission, visit an tavern, or attack someone. In my opinion, this is a bug.

Good morning,

This is intentional on our part, as only the ‘last action’ really counts; writing/sending a message via courier does not count as a real action for us.
The reason for this is to protect the database tables and thus ensure better performance.

Hi

IHMO, reading/sending a courier requires only two database queries and recording the date and time. This won't burden the system.

surely that's just a matter of design though?

I get that just being "online" may not represent "active" but the reading of a new courier message is an auditable event as i assume it changes a flag / populates a field to say it was read etc

I'm assuming that there's a single field that records "last activity" and the unread->read change also updates that field via a simple trigger (or direct via code)

Can't see why there's going to be any more additional burden on the db to monitor that.
