KnightFight lives – and that’s because of you! Yesterday, a Battleground update went live too early – that wasn’t planned, and we take full responsibility. The reaction afterward was freezing cold – and we get it. That’s why we decided to roll the update back and take a fresh look. Not out of weakness, but because we believe that true strength lies in listening. We also know that we need more transparency. We’ll work on improving this with weekly updates about the current situation. One thing’s clear: we can only move forward together. Many of you have long wanted KnightFight to focus more on the Homeworld and let the Battleground take its rightful, secondary place. We see it the same way – and we’re fully behind that. The Battleground system also faces some technical limitations (the infamous Fightpotential 99), which currently prevent us from expanding it further. With the Battleground reduction came the main concern that the KnightFight engine now feels like it’s stalling – and that there needs to be some balance, like stronger Homeworld rewards or new mission incentives. That’s exactly where we’re heading next. Let’s forge this path together – hard, honest, and with open visors. We’re looking forward to your ideas. Contrary to the narrative that some will try to sell, it wasn't “three German players” who were dissatisfied with the update. It was a multitude of players of all nationalities (incidentally, I find reducing them to their nationality problematic...). It was many players of all nationalities. In my guild alone, no one was satisfied with this update. On Discord, almost all of the feedback was negative. On the German forum thread and the English forum thread, apart from 2-3 players (yes, really), everyone was unhappy with this update. So I congratulate CRATR for listening to the majority who were unhappy with this update. It's not so easy to accept that there may have been a mistake. And as CVD said, that doesn't mean that Battleground won't change. It means that, until a better formula is found, we're going back to the one that everyone knows and which, while not perfect, has worked so far. I'm the first to want Battleground to change, but not just any old way. For me, this update missed the point. Battleground still took too much time. Nobody wants to spend too much time on it. So rather than sticking with a bad version, it was better to go back to the one that had been working until now. I think it's the right decision and it will allow them to get back to work properly. |

I’m fully with Twenry114 and CVD on this one. The rollback was the right call — and calling it a betrayal or a lie is pure exaggeration. Let’s get one thing straight: the Battleground change wasn’t removed because “three German players” complained. That’s just nonsense. The backlash came from everywhere: Discord, both forums, multiple servers. The overwhelming majority of players disliked how that update felt. Ignoring that would’ve been arrogance, not leadership. CVD didn’t “abandon promises.” They hit pause, listened, and rolled back a rushed update that clearly wasn’t ready. That’s what responsible developers do. The alternative — forcing through a broken system just to save face — would’ve been far worse for everyone. And Rym, threatening to delete all your accounts because an update got reverted? That’s not feedback, that’s theatrics. You can’t claim to want fairness and balance, then turn around and say the devs should ignore everyone else’s experience just to protect your personal investment. No one likes seeing their money or time feel undervalued, but that doesn’t mean the devs “lied.” They’re doing what most studios don’t: owning up to a mistake, refunding players, and communicating openly. That deserves respect. |

I agree with CVD that more focus should be on Homeworld. The initial change to limit an impact of BS on homeworld was good in my opinion. Maybe not implemented in the best way, maybe too quick, maybe there is some room for further improvements. There is no magic solution that will satisfy everyone. |

All right, so if we're going back to 100 battles a day in the arena, please log out of the game automatically after 30 minutes on the server. Players who want to do 100 battles can do so, but they should actually spend their time clicking, not using the auto-click system. That would be very fair. |

I agree with an update reverse if the recent last update got some problems or it's in need to a future fixing. ( Before i continue my message all players "must read again" rule number 1 for all games, and with attention possibly...
So if they spent real money it's players problem, not developers. |

I figured I'd add my comments here rather than discord as this seems to be a nicer place to collate it all. I'm not sure I "get" the part about weakness in the announcement, but I do appreciate the ownership that as a company you folks got it wrong. I also appreciate that you took swift action and have returned this "as was" quickly. (I accept a few folks will be short of XP/Money from their BG sessions they started, but the same happens if you forget to hit tavern or go on holiday, so I think we'll all survive) Looking forward to hearing some more ifo about the new Homeworld plans - I think changes there are likely to be the best way to breathe some life back into our old worlds. |

Sorgar, I wish you'd come to me one day so I could teach you this game. I'm really good at teaching and the math of the game. There are no such programs in this game; you're just dreaming and slandering people.
PS: This guy has accused my clan and me before. I think he'll keep talking because accusing others goes unpunished :) (timeouts, etc.).
